Pasar Senja by Nongkrong Festival
Nongkrong is a festival curated by a network of Indonesian-Australians dedicated to creating spaces for their diaspora to connect, maintain ties to their homeland(s), and cultivate their collective identity. Nongkrong translates to ‘hanging out’: the intentional, open-ended time spent with others.
Gathering of the Gamelans 2025
Gathering of the Gamelans returns for a free, all-ages celebration of Indonesian arts in Victoria. Hosted by Gamelan DanAnda, the event brings together groups from Melbourne, Geelong and Eppalock for one joyful afternoon of music, dance and food.

Spring Concert 2025
Naarm's own Balinese gamelan orchestra Gamelan DanAnda welcome you to their Spring Concert, where they will be joined by special guests from Bali--master composer/musician Yande King's and dancer Putu Ayu Lestari--to premiere a new Balinese-Australian gamelan and dance work Tari Puspa Banksia, commissioned for Gamelan DanAnda and local dance troupe Sanggar Lestari.
Local dangdut/koplo band Yarra Irama will close the afternoon. Come down and enjoy the tunes, and the delicious food from Diana's Kitchen.
The performance will include an interactive kecak vocal percussion workshop and a dance workshop for all ages and abilities.

This is an all-ages, family friendly event. Those with sensitivities to noise, including young children may be more comfortable with hearing protection. We will have a limited number of pairs of cans to borrow for free, and some for sale for $10 on the day. Foam earplugs will be available free on the day.
The Collingwood Town Hall is a wheelchair accessible venue, and companion card holders are eligible for free tickets.

Get ready for an electrifying evening with Balinese gamelan orchestra, Gamelan DanAnda, and electro-jazz-fusion band, Firetail, combining bronze xylophones, bells, cymbals, drums, and gongs with Carnatic rhythms, driving percussion, and evocative melodies.
LPs are available to purchase as add-ons to your order, and can be picked up on the night.
READY NEW GANG play traditional Gamelan Music of Balinese “Wayang Kulit” shadow puppetry expanded beyond its five-tone origins with double-bass from Scott Owen (The Living End), drum kit by David Williams (Augie March) plus special guests.
Baleganjur Short Course + Performance @ Sydney Road Street Party
Get ready for a crash course in the complex interlocking rhythms of Balinese gamelan led by Ewa Wisanjaka from Gamelan DanAnda through the Baleganjur short-course running from 22 January until 26 February, with an optional (but very much encouraged) performance at the Sydney Road Street Party on Sunday 2 March 2025.
